Sunday Telegraph Review
"Produced by Monique Brumby, this singer/songwriter has come up with a stellar album. Davis has a beautiful voice, whose style resembles Sarah Blasko's sound with a little less pop. Perfect for a quiet Sunday afternoon with a good book and a glass of wine.”

Adelaide Fringe Review
Special guests, ‘Nereeda’ (rock/funk) and the Emily Smart Band (pop/light rock), started the evening and showcased the talents of two highly capable, diverse original bands. Emily Davis & The Sunday Brides, fresh from their weekend gig at Womadelaide, played to a supportive and enthusiastic Wheatie crowd. Emily’s songs not only contain sensitive, well-constructed lyrics and catchy melodies but they are made even more pleasurable by her exquisite voice and charming stage presence. Her live performance exudes a grounded-ness and sincerity that is totally absorbing. Beautifully supported by the ‘Brides’ (Zac Kingston, Steve Pederson, Brian Ruiz and Mel Bonham), performances by this ego-free ensemble are an absolute delight. Visit www.emilydavis.com for gig updates or to purchase the debut CD, ‘Moving In Slow Motion’, a must for any lover of quality, original songs from the heart.

Emily Davis & The Sunday Brides at WOMAD
For any of you yet to experience the heavenly Womadelaide, I urge you to get into gear and stop denying yourself!! Over the weekend I had the absolute privilege of performing at the most beautiful music festival Australia has on offer. We spent three days wandering around listening to some of the most recognised performers in the world, including Habib Koite, Mariza and Salif Keita. There were also some wonderfully rare and intimate performances from Australian legends Deborah Comway and Emma Donovan. Just to see them backstage was quite a thrill!!! So when it came time for our show we were prepared to give it all. Under the protective shade of the three maternal moreton bay figs, the Sunday Brides and I played our most emotive set yet. Nothing beats ditching a dark smoky pub for the freedom of the open air. The crowd were just gorgeous, so respectful and warm. Our songs felt different to play when we could look in to the audience and see the faces of those we were playing to. From the bottom of our filthy feet and with grins from ear to ear, the brides and I would sincerely like to thank all of the lovely people (over 1,000 - WOW) who listened to our show and made the day our most memorable yet. Thank you also to the organisers of Womadelaide for giving us the opportunity to play at the festival.

Emily Davis CD Launch - The Blissful Hangover
"This was a beautiful and unforgettable launch for my debut album. I was covered in goose bumps the entire night from the raw energy and emotion swirling around the room. Like a profound dream this has had an unbelievable impact on me and my career as a musician. What a welcome."
Emily Davis
With wood and steel, nagchampa, and a red dress, my debut album launch
was exactly that. Full of spirit, sensory overload and colour. The lead up was strangely calm, but once the room began to fill with familiar faces, and the wine flowed everything became surreal. The green room was awash with guitars and vodka and lemons, pretty girls warming up amazing voices, nervous lads smoking one more Marlboro. With special guests Emily Smart and Hamish and Susie Keynes delivering beautiful and profound performances to the crowd, the buzz in the room was reaching its climax.
And then without further ado my set began swaying confidently in 6/8 to the anthem of the album 'Moving in Slow Motion". Standing on the stage I felt the energy and love of the 350 people – each of their swaying silhouettes kept the time. It gave me wings, and I soared. Free associating and reaching heights vocally that I've never been to before.
The Sunday Brides delivered some outstanding performances, full of soul, feeling and respect for the essence of each song. Leaping off the stage and connecting with the crowd. And then I opened my eyes, and as though it were a dream the night was gone so quickly. I felt a real sense of community from the generous people who shared their talents with me to make this night so wonderful. To all who supported this launch - peace and thanks for making this the most unforgettable moment in my career.
"As a music manager, promoter and publicist - it was a joy and a buzz to experience one of the most successful Adelaide CD launches I have seen in a long time. Supported by a crowd of close to 400 fans and the Adelaide music industry - Emily Davis launched her debut album "Moving in Slow Motion" - like she was born to the big stage. Emily took the audience on an amazingly enriching pop folk, melodic, heartfelt and at time classic blues rock rollercoaster ride - resulting in a roaring standing ovation and 2 encores for this humble emerging acoustic blues and roots diva in a red dress. There is no question about Emily Davis possessing the X Factor - selling over 100 CDs to a massive line-up of fans and admirers after the launch. Keep your ears open and eyes peeled
for Emily Davis & The Sunday Brides nationally touring the album this year in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Perth and Tasmania."

Music SA Review
"With a list of achievements like hers, it's hard to believe that Emily Davis's upcoming CD launch is for her "DEBUT" LP, Moving in Slow Motion. Her maturity of sound, professional presence and depth of talent suggest she's been around a lot longer, and one would be forgiven for thinking she had more recordings up her sleeve!
